Do I need an account to shorten a link?

No — the box on the home page works without one. But an anonymous link does not earn: only a registered member's links pay.

How can I shorten links once I have an account?

Multiple ways, one for every use case: a quick link, Bulk shorten for a whole list at once, the full-page script for every link on your own site, the bookmarklet, the developer API, or the box on the home page. They all produce the same short link and earn at the same rate.

What does a subscription change?

Exactly two things: your own visits skip the ad pages, and your daily shortening limit goes up. Every tool, every page and every rate is the same for a subscriber and a free member.

How much does a view pay?

It depends where the visitor is. Every country has its own rate per 1,000 views, and the full table is public before you sign up.

Why might a view not count?

Anonymous (not registered users) short links will not earn, only registered can earn.
Visitors must be unique within 24 hours.
Visitors must have JavaScript enabled.
Visitors must have Cookies enabled.
Must view your website for at least 6 seconds.

How do referrals work?

Invite someone with your referral link and you keep a share of everything they earn, for as long as they keep earning. It comes out of our side, never theirs — they earn the same rate whether they were referred or not.
